Hello, my name is Ashley, and I would like to speak with you for a few minutes about my sister in law, Kayla. There were a lot of things about Kayla that many of us will remember. I always loved her love for learning, and the way her eyes would light up when she would try something new. More than anything, I loved her humble nature and warm heart. Kayla was an intense woman that loved to learn and enjoyed new life experiences. One day, we were happily walking around when we overheard a brief conversation about zip lining. I had never been zip lining before, and neither had she, but it sounded like fun. The next weekend, we went zip lining together. Despite her love for new experiences, and her amazing success, Kayla was a humble woman. She lived in a modest home, with only three bedrooms. When questioned by associates about why she did not purchase a larger, more extravagant home she would always reply that she did not need all of that. She did not need a massive marble entryway, or more than one living room. Kayla loved the finer things in life, but never felt that they were necessary. To Kayla, money was nice, but was only necessary to pay the bills. She donated a substantial portion of her income to many charities, helping the homeless and underprivileged women. Kayla loved to help single women become successful. She once told me that she came from a very poor family where she was often lucky to have food to eat for dinner. That’s what motivated Kayla, and what kept her humble. All these years, Kayla never forgot what it was like to feel hungry, and she could never bear the thought of another person feeling the same way. Kayla had a big heart, but after so long that heart gave out. Her final words were: I love you Aaron, to her dear husband. After that, she fell asleep and never woke back up. May she rest in peace and may God bless her soul as she is carried from this world onto the next.
